QUEEN & KING
CONTEST

One of the more favorable events of the festivals' history is the Queen Contest. The Queen candidates and their escorts are 8th grade students selected by their peers by a voting process. The contestants will be judged for poise, personality, appearance, and general bearing and department while on review. The eight King contestants each receive a certificate and a color 8.5x11 framed picture. All Queen contestants will receive flowers and a color 8.5x11 framed picture. The queen will receive a tiara, a trophy, and a dozen roses. The 1st runner-up will also receive a trophy. The remaining contestants will all be 2nd runner-ups and will receive trophies. This year’s contestants’ names, along with the school that each represents, are featured below.
